Celebrities Who Use Weight Watchers

A popular diet with the celebrities is Weight watchers. Celebrities like Jenny McCarthy, Sarah Ferguson, Rosie O’Donnell, Fran Drescher, Kate Winslet, and also Lynn Redgrave. If these models, actresses and a Duchess can lose weight successfully with Weight Watchers there must be something to the diet.

Sarah Ferguson

The only celebrity spokesperson used by Weight Watchers to date, is Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. She told The Early Show co-anchor Rene Syler, that she feels the best that she’s ever felt since losing weight with Weight Watchers. Sarah Ferguson had struggled with her weight since childhood and has lost a total of 50 pounds since joining Weight Watchers as of 2004 when she had been doing the program for eight years.

Sarah Ferguson believes so much in what she has learned through participating in and being a spokesperson for Weight Watchers that she has written five books with Weight Watchers: “Energy Breakthrough” (Simon & Schuster 2002); “Reinventing Yourself” (Simon & Schuster 2001); “Win the Weight Game” (Simon & Schuster, 2000); “Dieting with The Duchess” (Simon & Schuster 1999); and also “Dining with The Duchess,” (Simon & Schuster 1998).

Tolls for Living

One of the ways Weight Watchers has inspired success is with the Tolls for Living. This tool teaches not only the importance of healthy eating but of healthy living by understanding why you eat what you do.

In the Weight Watchers program foods are assigned point values based on their number of calories, and grams of fat and fiber. You can basically eat what ever you want as long as you stay within your daily point limit.

Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy used Weight Watchers to lose 60 pounds. She likes weight watchers because she can eat what ever she wants to eat as long as she doesn’t go over her daily points. The higher the calories and fat a food contains the higher the points it is assigned. The higher fiber content a food has the lower the points it is assigned. Jenny loves tuna fish and watermelon.

Celebrities love weight watchers because it is simple to stick to as long as you know how to add up points.

Celebrities have lives and careers that are directly related to their physical appearances. Losing weight is something that becomes pivotal to being able to earn the money they do from being a celebrity. Weight watchers allow them to control their weight and give them the ability to understand why they eat they way the do and how to eat healthier.

Programs like weight watchers is not only about losing the weight, it becomes a tool for living a healthier life by understanding the role food has in your health. Kudos to Weight Watchers and to the celebrities who have found a healthier life using the program.
